First Day at Pulane Children’s Centre
Today was our first day at the Pulane Children’s centre. We arrived last night after a long drive from Masseru. This place is in a spectacular setting on a side of a mountain in the middle of nowhere!
We settled into our Mokhoro (a stone and straw hut) which was surprisingly comfortable, barbequed something to eat and got a good nights sleep.
I was surprised this morning at how cold it was when I got up, I thought Africa was meant to be hot but it warmed up as the day went on.
The morning started with a staff meeting. We took a little video straight after it that you can see here. Later on in the day I got to do some training and have lunch with some local pastors who made their way to the children’s centre. While I was doing that Chris got the chance to spend a bit of time with the kids and start some repair work on the “donkey” a large metal barrel that the staff light a fire under to heat water for the kids.
It really is a privilege to be here.
